Jake is entering his 4th year as a College of the
Sequoias Assistant Coach. His main duty is overseeing the outfield play.
Jake is originally from Paso Robles where he graduated
from Paso Robles High School in 1997. Jake continued his education and
baseball career at Allan Hancock Junior College. After junior college
Jake attended Clarke College in Iowa where he received his BA Degree in
Kinesiology and a teaching credential in physical education. In 2002
during his senior year at Clarke, Jake was a team captain while also
being named his teams MVP and the NIIC player for the year. He also
ranked second nationally in stolen bases that year.
Jake started his coaching career in 2003 at Paso Robles Highs School
where he was an assistant coach for two years. He then moved on to
become the Head Coach at Golden West High School in Visalia. During his
two seasons at Golden West his teams were the 2005 and 2006 WYL
Champions. Jake was named the 2006 WYL Coach of the Year and the 2006
Tulare County Coach of the Year.
Jake and his wife, Jae live here in Visalia with their two children,
son Kade and their daughter Kaili.
