Staff

The College of the Sequoias Baseball Camp will be run by the current coaching staff and players at COS. The coaching staff is led by Jody Allen who is entering his 17thyear as the head coach of the Giants. The assistants on this year’s squad have a wide range of experience in both playing and coaching at the collegiate level as well as professional playing experience; Jake Kiser, Donnie Wilson, Dana Gomez, Dave Ridgeway, Josh Menchaca, and long time major leaguer Rance Mulliniks head this group.

Facility

The camp will be held on the campus of COS at Giants Park which is one of the top Junior College baseball playing fields in all of California and features some of the top facilities in the Central Valley. Giants Park is on the corner of Noble and Woodland (just south of the 198 freeway) in Visalia, CA.

Camp

During the three day camp the players will be instructed in all areas of the game including: hitting, fielding, base running, and pitching. Each day will consist of a warm-up, small group work at several different stations on the field, and then a game at the end of each camp day.

What’s in it for my child?

Each camper will get to experience what its like to participate in an organized baseball environment and get a feel for what it’s like to play baseball at the college level. Our camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of the game of baseball.  The campers will get a feel for how we teach baseball the Giant way! Current COS players will be on hand to help instruct the camp along side the coaching staff.
